Part 5: Purchase Process

Look at Hubspot this way:

  • The Contact portion of Hubspot we use today is how we manage our contacts and leads BEFORE they are under contract. It's the marketing/lead generation side of things.
  • The Deal portion is where we document what the contact has purchased. It's also where we truly see ROI and understand what leads we are working on and how much volume is coming our way. By using Deals, we can SEE how much volume is in the works and where they are in the sales process.

NOTE: The purchase process ALWAYS starts in Hubspot by searching for the buyer by name and/or email.

  • If the buyer was an OSC booked appointment, the buyer is already in Hubspot, and a KOVA worksheet has been created. In this case, the Community Manager can click the Deal within Hubspot to access the KOVA worksheet and proceed with the contract. 
  • If the buyer is not in Hubspot, the Community Manager will add the contact in Hubspot and start a Deal at the same time. This will trigger KOVA to create the worksheet to proceed with the contract.
  • If the lead is in Hubspot, but wasn't an OSC booked appointment, the Community Manager will create the Deal from the contact record. That action will trigger the KOVA worksheet and the Community Manager can click the Deal within Hubspot to access the KOVA worksheet and proceed with the contract.
