8-New Home Orientation

We've reached the New Home Orientation phase of the customer journey, and that means we're about two weeks away from the buyer closing on their new Summit home. The buyer is often asking: will I close on time, will everything get done and what will move-in be like? The buyer is also starting to get a little anxious. 

A lot of communication is happening right now, too. The buyer is getting a lot of correspondence from their lender, agent and title company to prep for closing day. On top of that, we're communicating a lot of things regarding their home. 

 

Make sure to communicate often, repeat key items and restate expectations to ensure complete alignment. 

 

During the New Home Orientation, the Project Manager will: 

  • Present the Homeowner Guide
  • Apply the NHO stickers on their breaker box and other key locations in the home. 
  • Walk the buyer through the home, explaining key features. 
  • Discuss the homeowner's warranty. 
  • Reviewing the final punch list of items to be complete before closing. 
  • Introduce the buyer to the Customer Portal, highlighting the HOA information and how to access their mailbox key.
